Metcalfe Advisory presents Jason Metcalfe’s healthcare operating experience and a limited portfolio of independent work in clinical technology, validation, and implementation.

Jason is the former Director of Operations, Sleep Center at Boston Children’s Hospital and former owner-operator of Mountain Star Sleep Diagnostics, where he achieved Joint Commission and AASM accreditation in 2012. His multi-state experience spans Texas, Massachusetts, and California, along with physiologic-sensor validation, ECG-derived measurements, API-enabled acquisition, analytical workflows, and the translation of novel technology into clinical use.

Snooze Labs

Validation systems for textile-based ECG sensing.

Designed and integrated experimental test benches for novel textile-based physiologic sensors. Built and tested acquisition and analytical workflows spanning ECG signal collection, API-enabled data transfer, timestamp synchronization, multi-stream alignment, signal-quality review, and transformation of raw ECG into derived measures including heart-rate variability.

Supported evaluation of physiologic features and signal signatures for sleep-state classification, and established testing environments and methods used by doctoral researchers who advanced the work through subsequent publication.

For regulated products, Metcalfe Advisory supports validation planning, evidence generation, technical documentation, workflow design, integration readiness, and implementation in coordination with the manufacturer’s engineering, quality, clinical, and regulatory teams. Regulatory strategy and submissions remain with the product sponsor and appropriately qualified specialists.

Achieved Joint Commission Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation and AASM sleep-center accreditation for a Texas diagnostic operation in 2012.

Proven across three distinct healthcare markets: owner-operator and hospital leadership in Texas, academic medical center operations in Massachusetts, and diagnostic workflow leadership in California. Mountain Star also established a TRICARE contract and operated CPAP and oxygen DME services alongside CPT-related documentation, HIPAA, billing, collections, and reimbursement workflows.
